Partnership Emons Group and Burgers Carrosserie results in new trailers
One more member of the 2WIN fleet is home!
The Emons Group and Burgers Carroserie know each other for a long time already. This partnership resulted in another delivery of 20 new 2WIN-trailers, for Emons is growing with her division Emons Cargo. Recently, one out of these twenty trailers, waited for just the right parade of honor to leave its place of birth and be welcomed into its new family at Emons’ headquarters in Milsbeek.
Daan Emons, CEO of the Emons Group, and Marcel van der Werf (maintenance manager at Emons) were present at Burgers Carrosserie headquarters in Aalsmeer, to see the trailer and meet the Burgers’ representatives Marco Kranenbroek and Jaap Hulshof. The group celebrated the event by agreeing to some pictures of themselves with the double-deck and by tasting the delicious cake provided by our host.
Improving logistics sector
What is most important about our double deck trailers is not their appearance, but their great potential for significantly improving the logistics sector. The new trailers, in fact, retain the usual competitive characteristics of all our 2WIN trailers such as 64% more loading capacity, high-level technology, and 40% less CO2 emissions while adding a considerable improvement in terms of safety and protection.
Pioneer of 2WIN
A special driver was required for the job. Tonnie Stoffelen, one of Emons’ drivers and pioneer of the 2WIN trailers. Even though retired, Tonnie is still driving for the Emons Group, at this moment in particular for the glass division Van Huët. On reaching the milestone of 40 years of work for Emons, he was awarded a ‘40 – Tonnie’s final edition’ stamp on the side of his tractor unit. Tonnie drove the new 2WIN trailer home to Milsbeek, where it joined the Emons Cargo’s fleet of double-deckers: 150 pearls of cutting-edge technology and craftsmanship ready to take the road to ship more volumes while contributing to making the logistic sector more sustainable!
